Hanging from ropes !! That's just what monkeys do!
Monkey! |
Morning 2- in the hotel. Froze my butt off and sleep escaped me again. I was playing WORD with Friends at 5:20 in the morning. So up and at em. I really thought I was going to be going by myself because all the gals were out drinking the night before but I heard them stirring.
I took off with the plan to meet back at the hotel at 6AM because "Christa" wanted to meet.
As I turned down 2ND street I was shocked at how many others had the same idea. It was a pleasant surprise to see all the little runners doing the Sunrise Run.
AND MONKEYS HANG FROM BARS!! |
The run was on Ocean blvd. It was saturated with meat heads and muscle men, runners, walkers, bums with laptops, dogs pooping everywhere as well as yoga classes and personal trainers. I could hardly pay attention to my speed or time especially with everyone everywhere so unique and individual
I met "Christa" actually in route and she was shadowed by "Patty" another one of our Glitz staff.
Together we ran slow but steady. "Patty" was out drinking the night before and did good till about mile 2 and she had to bow out. She had already hit both the bathrooms and was not wanting to go for a third.
Even Christa was having a hard time, she was detouring me to Starbucks to meet the rest of the girls from our work. Christa had purchased these really "Cute" pair of PUMAS the day before with 5 of the girls on sale at Nordstroms. The sign said "Running" and she decided they would be good for the day...They were good for about 30 minutes then nothing was good.
I finished a very dysfunctional run at about 5 and a half miles. Between bathroom stops, picture taking, meeting people and loosing people it was time to throw in the towel and enjoy a cup of coffee!
Gina, Amanda, and Me at Starbucks. This was actually my second time BEFORE class! |
- Class from 10-4:30; great class, great instructor but I started to get a little sleepy about 20 minutes into it so to keep myself paying attention I counted how many times he said "SOOOOO.." (Over 100 times)
Venice beach!! |
Then we went to Muscle Beach which really was nothing but a bunch or "Arnold Schwarzenegger" look a likes. Riding our bikes we stopped off to play and I got to bea monkey back at Santa Monica Pier!
Hope you enjoyed the highlights in picture form!
